The hard, robust work that yields a healthy, robust community

This blog is about the art of networking – that is, networking for God and for God’s purposes. James calls this “the hard work of getting along with each other,” and it is hard work. Read how he puts it:

“You can develop a healthy, robust community that lives right with God and enjoy its results only if you do the hard work of getting along with each other, treating each other with dignity and honor.” James 3:18 Msg

I like to think of this hard networking work as a kind of art, because it requires artistry. Like fine craftsmanship, skill at the art of networking comes as one learns the sometimes deft and slight moves that make all the difference.

The fun part is that artists are often eccentric, which means there’s lots of room for doing it your own way – and I’ll demonstrate that in this blog, too. I will feel free to draw points from a dizzying variety of sources and along the way show my own eccentricity. But that’s okay, isn’t it?

Stay tuned! — Dave
